Shopping in Bristol offers plenty of choice, catering for most tastes and budgets. From shopping malls to chic boutiques and independent stores, Bristol is a shopaholic's dream destination.



In the centre of Bristol is Broadmead, Bristol's main shopping centre and The Mall Galleries,which boast an enticing range of shops with all the familiar high street names and specialist independent stores.



Broadmead remains open for business during the building of Cabot Circus, a new shopping area which is due to be completed in autumn 2008.



On the outskirts of Bristol, The Mall at Cribbs Causeway is an ultra-convenient shopping complex with over 135 stores and over 17 cafes and restaurants, all under one roof. Located just off Junction 17 of the M5 with free parking, it's a shopaholic's dream.


The elegant shops of Bristol's West End, Whiteladies Road and Clifton Village are unmissable, ideal for those looking for designer clothes, antiques, jewellery, art and crafts. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants along the way so you can rest your weary feet.



Bristol's Eastside is full of specialist stores selling food, fabrics and crafts of Asian and Caribbean influence. Or try Gloucester Road for an eclectic choice of retro clothes, funky gifts and clothes shops.



The Old City's grand buildings surround the Corn Exchange and St Nicholas Markets, where you'll find an intriguing choice of stalls including Beast Clothing's popular Bristolian t-shirts and small shops and regular street markets, with arts and crafts every Friday and Saturday, Fresh Saturday food market, a Farmers Market every Wednesday and special events throughout the year. The Slow Food Market takes place on the first Sunday of each month and is definitely worth a visit.
